If your asking for the length of the third side, to find it first we have to build an equation.

let's take x as the length of the two sides with the same length.
so your equation should be,

x+x+2x-7=44cm
=4x-7=44cm
     +7  +7
=4x=51cm
 ÷4   ÷4
=x=12.75cm

length of the sides with equal length= 12.75cm
length of the 3rd side= 12.75×2-7=18.5cm

check,
12.75cm+12.75cm+18.5cm=44cm
hope this helps.....

The property taxes on a house were $1000. What was the tax rate if the house was valued at $125,000
Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:

The tax rate was 0.8%

Step-by-step explanation:

Set up an equation:

x = tax rate

1000/125000 = x/100

Cross multiply:

1000 × 100 = 125000 × x

100000 = 125000x

0.8 = x

Check your work:

1000/125000 = 0.8/100

0.008 = 0.008

Correct!

Another way to check your work:

1000 × 100 = 125000 × 0.8

100000 = 100000

Correct!
