Why do you think the founders of the united states borrowed ideas from roman government?
mash [69]
The founders of the US most likely took ideas from the Romans because their system allowed for the citizens to have a voice in who ran their empire. Considering that the US just broke away from Great Britain when starting a new country, they wanted to ensure that their citizens had a voice. When the Americans were colonists, they had little/no influence on government policies and laws.

The Romans established a republic for very similar reasons, as they had a tyrannical king who they overthrew. With a new start, the Romans created a government where people got to elect political officials, there were term limits for the two consuls, and the Senate (comprising of 300 people) had the chance to make laws. The United States probably saw this as a highly effective system in which multiple voices could be heard, so they based our foundation on the ones created by the Romans.

Maurinko [17]
While doing research for a thesis paper about how human migration and population distribution can greatly alter or destroy the natural landscape, you come across an article discussing American settlers traveling to the Great Plains to farm. Which sentence from the article best supports your thesis?
C) Over time, the settlers who stayed were able to adapt and modify the landscape for farming.
Explanation: This sentence describes how settlers changed the landscape where they chose to settle. This supports the thesis that human migration (by the settlers) can alter the natural landscape (as settling and farming altered the landscape in the Great Plains).

Lelechka [254]

Based on drug potency, the IC50 level of ART-S strain is much lower than the ART-R strain.

What is IC50?

IC50 is the half maximun inbitory concentration of a substance.

It is a measure of the potency of a drug or substance in inhibiting a specific biological or biochemical function.

The lower the IC50 value, the more potent the drug or substance is.

ART-S strain and ART-R strain refers to strains of Plasmodium that are sensitive and resistant respectively to artesunate treatment.

Therefore, the IC50 level of ART-S strain is much lower than the ART-R strain.

What were reasons that some americans and political leaders had reservations about supporting the treaty of versailles after it
devlian [24]

Answer:

Wilson opted to disregard Lodge's request. By failing to engage lawmakers among-st the mediators traveling him towards the Paris Peace Conference as well as rendering summit conclusions public without reviewing them with panel members, Obama insulted the Senate.

The dissatisfied president turned his appeal to the people after Lodge's commission inserted many "booking" and revisions to the treaty. He experienced a physical breakdown throughout a cross-country trip in October 1919, clouding his political judgement even more.
