I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is the last option. The above statement is an example of coevolution. It occurs when changes in species' genetic compositions reciprocally affect each other's evolution. Hope this answers the question.

Answer;

-Coevolution;

Explanation;

-Coevolution is a change in one species that results from a change in another species that it interacts with. Coevolution occurs when two or more species reciprocally affect each other's evolution. Example; Different warbler species share the same food source. They have adapted by living in different areas of trees to reduce competition.

-Coevolution is common among organisms participating in a mutual interaction. In mutualism, both the organisms benefit from each other. When coevolution occurs among mutually benefiting species, it is called mutualistic coevolution.

Which phrase best defines a biome? a. areas with distinct animal communities and associated with particular climates b. areas wi
Akimi4 [234]

Answer:

B. areas with distinct plant communities and associated with particular climates

Explanation:

Biome refers to a large, relatively distinct terrestrial region that is characterized by similar climate, soil, plant communities irrespective of its location on the Earth. The large geographic area of a biome includes many interacting landscapes. Biomes mostly represent the major climate zones of the earth, with temperature and precipitation being most important.

For example, desert biomes are characterized by low precipitation, seasonal and daily variations in temperature and are homes to the perennials and annuals that can withstand the prevailing conditions.

What is the most likely pathway taken by a newly synthesized protein that will be secreted by a cell?
monitta

D

Essentially, the path begins from the nucleus where the DNA is transcribed by RNA polymerase that makes a nascent mRNA.

Explanation:

The nascent mRNA is processed into a mature mRNA that is sent to ribosomes that outline the membrane of the Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum. When a polypeptide chain is translated by the ribosome, from the mRNA, the chain enters the lumen of the RER where it finds chaperons that help the proper folding of the chain into a required secondary, tertiary or quaternary structure. The protein undergoes further post-translational modification. Quality Control also happens here and only ‘well-made’ proteins are allowed to pass down to the Golgi apparatus. The Golgi apparatus also performs a few additional post-translation modifications but its major role is tagging these proteins for delivery, and packaging them. Vesicle budding off of this organelle carries the proteins to the cell membrane. The vesicle fuses with the cell membrane enabling the contents in the vesicle to be emptied outside the cell.
