B. Only federal courts handle cases between citizens of different states.

Explanation:

State courts only work with cases within that same state, like family courts, as they are governed by the state. Many smaller cases will be taken care of by state or local courts.

Federal courts work with cases with citizens of different states. These courts also work with certain federal laws and cases that are usually against the United States. Federal courts usually work on bigger cases that aren't for state courts.

xxMikexx [17]

The Women's Christian Temperance Union wanted to make changes in society in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The idea was to get rid of alcohol as many of these people felt that it was morally hurting the society and making people bad individuals. Getting rid of alcohol eventually became the 18th Amendment, which was passed in 1920. A lot of the women in this movement were also supporting women's equality, and some of them also had a strong religious background.

Some people were not in agreement with this group as they did not agree with getting rid of alcohol in society. Some extremists like Cary Nation would go around with her hatchet to saloons, quote Bible scriptures, and then smash alcohol and liquor bottles.

Why would common Europeans celebrate exploration and colonization?
miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

They earned money from colonization, so it mainly became a battle of how rich they were. And then the exploration part pretty much meant that they could claim 'new' land (that was already pretty much discovered by Native Americans) and make even more money, along with having power in the New World.
