What the question I don't get it
One time when I was in Jiujitsu my opponent swept me off my feet and took my back. It was not looking good for me. My opponent tried to get the rear naked choke on me but I defended by tucking my chin and pulling his arm away from my neck. With all my might I pulled his arm down and turned to my back. I was safe for now but I still had to secure a postion. I felt my opponent shift his weight and I quickly swung my body around over top of him and I established a firm mount position. I pretended to do an ezikiel choke but quickly transfered over to an "S" mount. I squeezed my legs together and pulled his arm down for the most perfect arm bar I have ever done. The higher belts at the gym said I ought to be promoted to a higher belt level.
Dee learns about her heritage from books. Maggie learns about it in her everyday life.

What do you mean by "Everyday Use" ?

"Everyday Use" by Alice Walker tells the story of an African American woman, called Mama and her two daughters (Dee and Magie), who have learned to love their heritage as African American women in two different ways.
While Dee is an educated woman that learned to love her heritage after attending school and believes her heritage might be preserved by displaying some of the old objects her mother.
Maggie loves her heritages by following the everyday traditions of her family and using the objects and artifacts that represent the past of her family (heritage).
Thus, while Dee learned about her heritage from books while she attended school, Maggie learns about it in her everyday life by living in the way her ancestors did.

Third Person Objective—the narrator is not part of the story and does not know characters’ thoughts or a feeling, but only states their actions and speech. Imagine you are holding a video camera. You see all the action, but there is no one to tell you what the actors are thinking.
Hope this helps :)
