Ashante region of Ghana people is known for its textile art in Africa. Ashante people use stamp Adinkra symbols on cloth for decorative. Theses clothes are only worn in ceremonies to honour the dead. The stamps made of calabash gourd. A gourd is selected based on their thick skin. Gourd skins are cut into pieces to give it a size of a stamp and craved with giving design to paint their cloth.
