Explanation:

Assumption: there is no resistance of any type

v= 5.08 m/s

g = 9.81m/s^2

change in kinetic energy = change in gravitational potential energy

\frac{mv^{2} }{2} = mgh

mass on both side is same so it cancels out

and also making 'h' alone on one side

h = \frac{v^{2} }{2g}    

h= ((5.08)^2)/(2*9.81)

 h =1.3153m
