Answer: Hot food has temperature higher than that, and (cold) drinks have temperature lower than that. Hot food has temperature higher than that, and (cold) drinks have temperature lower than that. So, heat is transferred from/to the atmosphere to maintain heat levels at the NTP (Normal temperature and pressure).

If there are 100 file folders all 0.45 inches thick, then the combined thickness of the folders is 45 inches. Each drawer can’t hold more than 7.5 inches. So you divide 45 by 7.5. This gives you 6.

Given the information in the diagram, which theorem best justifies why lines j and k must be parallel? alternate interior angles
coldgirl [10]

There are several theorems that can be used to prove parallel lines

For the given information, the best theorem is (d) converse alternate exterior angles theorem

In plane geometry, the converse alternate exterior angles theorem implies that:

  • For any two lines, that is cut through by a transversal
  • If the alternate exterior angles are congruent
  • Then the lines are parallel

In the given diagram (see attachment)

  • The transversal is line m
  • The parallel lines are line j and line k
  • The alternate exterior angle on both lines is 93 degrees

Because

93 degrees = 93 degrees

Then, the angles are parallel based on (d) converse alternate exterior angles theorem

Calculate the speed of the 0.66 kg ball just before the collision.
vaieri [72.5K]

Answer:

The experimental apparatus shown in the figure above contains a pendulum consisting of a 0.66 kg ball attached

to a string of length 0.60 m. The pendulum is released from rest at an angle of 60 degrees and collides with a ball of mass 0.22 kg initially at rest at the edge of a table. The 0.22 kg ball hits the floor a distance of 1.4 m from the

edge of the table.

(a) Calculate the speed of the 0.66 kg ball just before the collision.

2.4 m/s

(b) Calculate the speed of the 0.22 kg ball immediately after the collision.

2.8/m s

(c) Calculate the speed of the 0.66 kg ball immediately after the collision.

1.5 m/s

(d) Indicate the direction of motion of the 0.66 kg ball immediately after the collision.

____ To the left __X__ To the right

(e) Calculate the height to which the 0.66 kg ball rises after the collision.

0.11 m

(f) Based on your data, is the collision elastic?

           ____ Yes __X__ No

Coefficient of elasticity of less than one means an inelastic collision.

Justify your answer.

Polonius’s character is complex in the excerpt because he represents suspicion. he is loyal to King Claudius. he predicts Hamlet
Eddi Din [679]

Polonius’s character is complex in the excerpt because he practices deception.

  • The excerpt from Act III of Hamlet talks about Polonius deceptiveness. The act centers on Polonius hiding in the chamber of Gertrude so as to eavesdropped on Hamlet and his mother and this can be achieved through hiding.
  • Due to the fact He overheared the while hiding in the chamber, he tried as much as possible to convince Gertrude to not show any partiality towards Hamlet.

From the above, we can therefore say that Polonius’s character is complex due to the fact that he practices deception.
