To find out how many miles Rory's cousin will drive, we need to subtract the amount of miles that Rory drove the first day all by herself.

584 - 300 = 284

Then, we know that Rory's cousin split the distance with Rory evenly the remaining amount, so we can just divide by 2 to find out how far her cousin drove.

284 / 2 = 142

Rory's cousin drove 142 miles.
Hope that helped =)

Let a and b be the events of the fda approving and rejecting a new drug to treat hypertension, respectively. The events a and b
Law Incorporation [45]

The correct option is (d) Mutually exclusive events.

Let a and b be the events of the fda approving and rejecting a new drug to treat hypertension, respectively. The events a and b are mutually exclusive events.

Two events are mutually exclusive or disjoint in logic and probability theory if they cannot both occur at the same time. The results of a single coin toss, which can result in either heads or tails but not both, provide a clear illustration.

A statistical term used to describe events that cannot occur concurrently is "mutually exclusive." It is frequently used to refer to circumstances in which the occurrence of one event takes precedence over the other. For instance, it is impossible for war and peace to exist together. They are therefore opposed to one another.

When an article is sold for Rs 23, there is profit.
Svet_ta [14]

Answer:

Cost price = R.S 20

Sales price = R.S 22

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Sales price of an article = R.S 23

Profit = 15%

Find:

Cost price

Sales price if profit is 10%

Computation:

Profit% = [(Sales price - Cost price) / Cost price]100

15 = [(23-cp)/cp]100

15cp = 2,300 - 100cp

115cp = 2,300

Cost price = R.S 20

Sales price if profit is 10%

Sales price = Cost price + Profit

Sales price = 20 + 10%[20]

Sales price = 20 + 2

Sales price = R.S 22
