The Cotton Gin

Explanation: Before the cotton gin, cotton sales did not increase at such a rapid rate.  With the cotton gin, led to the increasing purchases of Western land-Native American land that would be used to grow more cotton. The white slave owners had to force the Native Americans off their lands, to grow more cotton.
