First of all let's define Distributive Property. So, it is an algebra property which aims to multiply a single term or more terms to a set inside a parenthesis. In the case above,
the first thing to do is to multiply 4 to each term inside the parenthesis:

11+4(x+2y+4)
=11+4x+8y+16x

Then , you should combine like terms. Like terms have a whole number and the same variable in this case a whole number and x which is why:

=11+20x+8y

This is the final equivalent expression

Write the equation in slope-intercept form of the line that is parallel to the
aliina [53]

Answer:

the desired equation is y = 3x - 5

Step-by-step explanation:

The correct form of this equation is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

Any line parallel to the given y = 3x + 6 has an equation of exactly the same form except for the y-intercept (b = 6).

We must find an appropriate y-intercept.  To do this, substitute 4 for x and 7 for y in y = 3x + C:  7 = 3(4) + C, or 7 = 12 + C, or C = -5.

Then the desired equation is y = 3x - 5
