As seen throughout modern day society, the right to bear arms has been completely frowned upon nowadays. As seen throughout a bunch of mass shootings at public places, schools, movie theatres, etc. No action has been taken in which people are still interrpreting their own opinions on what exactly, "the right to bear arms" truly means.
The Constitution divides powers between the federal government's branches. The Constitution creates a structure that limits the powers of our government.
The larger population a state had the more representation they got in Congress so southern states did want slaves to count towards the states population. Slaves would later be counted and 3 out of every 5 slaves were counted as people.
