Battle of the Marne

Date: September 6th - 12th, 1914

Info: The Battle of the Marne was a WW1 Battle fought against German militia in the West. The Allies were victorious. (I assume you mean the 1st and not the 2nd.)

Gallipoli (Also known as The Dardanelles Campaign)

Date: February 17th, 1915 - January 9th, 1916

Info: Another WW1 battle, this one was fought on the Gallipoli Peninsula. Britain and Frace were trying to gain an advantage over the Ottoman Empire by taking the supply routes to Russia located there. The Ottomans were victorious.

Battle of Jutland

Date: May 31st, 1916 - June 1st, 1916

Info: A WW1 Naval battle between Britain's fleet and Germany's fleet. Germany attempted to trap part of the grand fleet. Both sides claimed victory - Britain lost about 14 ships and there were many casualties, but they did succeed in containing the German fleet.

Battle of Verdun

Date: February 21st, 1916 - December 18th, 1916

Info: The longest WW1 battle fought on the Western Front, was between the German and the French. This was one of the most costly, if not the most costly, in the war. there were about 377,231 French and 337,000 German casualties, and the people living in the area were also affected greatly.

I can't answer any more at the moment, but I hope these help a bit :) The research isn't that difficult, just google the name, and look at the dates & info. Good luck!

Which of the following played an important role in the unification of both Italy and Germany?
Butoxors [25]

The correct answer is - Nationalism.

Both Italy and Germany were countries were the people lived in terrible conditions. The moral was low. The unity was almost non-existent. The economies were in bad conditions.

Hitler and Mussolini used all of this things, and presented their ideology to the people as a unifying one. They promoted socialism, but also nationalism, and used the nationalism to make the people feel like a part of something big and united, feel special, distinct, and worthy of greater things.

Unfortunately, they also promoted hatred towards other nations, and also inferiority of the other ethnic group.

What are primary sources important when studying historical events?
GREYUIT [131]
Because if the answer is primary, it means it was written by a person living in that time period. Basically, it makes it more credible because that author was living during the time period so knows it without it being distorted or changed.

What was the connection between mount Olympus and Olympia in Greece?
Kobotan [32]
Completely different places. Mount Olympus is in the north-central part of Greece and is, obviously, a mountain. Olympia was a city-state in the Peloponnese (the hand-shaped peninsula that forms southern Greece). The Olympic Games were held at the shrine of Zeus in Olympia, not on Mount Olympus.

Ples help I will give u brainlist
____ [38]

Answer:

there could be alot of reasons to why they did that but due to what my research stated there are only 3 main reasons and they are 1 british economic blockage of france, induction of thousand american seman and the british support of native american tribes along the great lakes frontier. the british and america always had a issue that had to be solve such as the violations of the u.s. maritime time. but in my thought of process their shouldn't have been a war i mean they was only fighting for their independence.

but they thought that the rebels was not just going to hand it over so they had to start a full waging war for independence, for attention so they can have their say no matter if they would have to kill and injure people just to do so and they did. then, this war ended by the exchange of ratifications of the treaty of Ghent.
