It could be, but I think more likely 2. Hyde didn't care about Jekyll.

I think it might be 2, because when I read the bit about Hyde not caring about Jekyll, it felt strongly emotional to me.

Answer: 3. Hyde and Jekyll were both parts of Jekyll and shared some memories.

Explanation: In the given excerpt from "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" by Robert Louis Stevenson, we can see the struggle of Dr. Jekyll when he realizes that he has to decide between his two natures (Jekyll and Hyde) but he also is aware that they are both parts of himself, they share memories and they aknowledge each other, which makes the decision harder, because he needs to decide between two parts of himself.

What kind of essay is Walden?
irina1246 [14]
Since Walden is based on the author's personal experience which he decided to share, this book can be considered as a narrative essay. In his book, Henry David Thoreau represents all his life experiences and realizations that came up to him when he was living in natural surroundings. In a narrative essay, the writer tells a story about a real-life experience, so I bet that Walden belongs to this kind.
