Answer and Explanation:

Florence Kelley spoke about the importance of the female vote and ending child labor. In this speech she started using the rhetorical discourse called ethos, where she establishes her credibility in working ethically. At that time Kelley provided factual information and showed his knowledge of the law to stand against these two elements of society.

Continuing his discourse, Kelley uses the rhetorical logos feature, showing that women's emancipation has a strong impact on child labor, which incoherently does not exclude girls. At that moment, Kelley says: “Would the New Jersey Legislature have passed that shameful repeal bill enabling girls of fourteen years to work all night, if the mothers in New Jersey were enfranchised?”

Last but not least, Kelley used pathos, evoking the emotional of his audience through pen, empathy, sympathy and guilt. At that moment, she shows the suffering and working conditions to which children are subjected, in addition, she shows how child labor takes away opportunities and limits children's childhood.

alexira [117]
The correct option is this: Young children are not allowed to borrow books on their own.
From the above excerpt, we can see that the writer is a young child who loves to read. Mrs Long usually ask her the books she desires to read and when she mentioned them, Mrs long will go to the town library, to get the books for her.
Mrs Long has to do this because children are not giving the privilege of borrowing books.
