The answer is 3(x minus 2) + d = 2x-6 because...

3 x- 2+ x = 2x - 6 —-> simplify 3x + x
2x-2= 2x - 6 ——> subtract 2x from both sides
and you get

-2=6, so the answer is not solution since -2 cannot equal 6.
