What is the difference between code, codon, and anticodon?

The codon is a set of 3 nucleotides that can be read to convey a message in your DNA. It can be a code saying to "start" the process of protein synthesis, or "stop" it, or to encode for an amino acid - the building blocks of proteins.
<span>The DNA is read, and proteins are made by DNA Polymerase (simple version here, it is more complicated, but this is the gist of it) travelling down the DNA. As it travels, it reads the nucleotides and builds a chain of amino acids, that corresponds to the information gleaned from the DNA. </span>
<span>So, the codon is only on one side of the DNA, and there are 2 sides. In order to be able to keep the DNA safe, and package it well (and loads of other reasons ) there is a complimentary strand. The nucleotides that make up DNA are A, T, C, and G. A links to T and C to G, and vice versa. </span>
So if your DNA strand's codons read "AAG AGG TCA"
Then the complimentary strand will read "TTC TCC AGT" the three codons on the complimentary strand ARE THE ANTICODONS of the codons on the strand being read (aka "expressed").
<span>So a codon and an anti codon are made of the same things, it just is a matter of which is being actively expressed. Now, this gets insanely complicated when you learn more about reading frames! Not only are there those codons, but if you shift and start reading the "code" either one nucleotide earlier or later, it completely changes the message.</span>

Ecologists use survivorship curves to visualize how the number of individuals in a population drops off with time. By plotting t
Flura [38]

Answer:

The wrong statement is C. <em>Individuals with Type Il survivorship exhibit high survivorship throughout </em>

their life cycle.

Explanation:

Different species have survival curves differently shaped. In general terms, there are three different survival curves.

  • Type I. Organisms do not tend to die when they are young or middle-aged, but they do when they are old. These species, in general, have a few descendants and parents provide much parental care to ensure their progeny survival. Typical of K selected species.
  • Type II. Organisms that have more or less the same probabilities of dying in each age interval. These organisms can also have a few descendants and they can provide significant parental care.
  • Type III. Only a few individuals survive their first period of life or their firsts years. However, the lucky ones to reach a certain age generally have a long life. These organisms have a lot of descendants at the same time, but they do not provide much parental care. Typical of r selected species.

Give several advantages to passive solar heating uses and active solar system applications
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:A material designed to produce passive solar energy can achieve energy savings of 70%. In addition to this great advantage, we show you what are the main benefits that passive solar energy can bring us:

Reduced maintenance cost. Since it has no external equipment to harness the energy, the maintenance required will be practically nil.

It is 100% renewable energy. It does not emit polluting gases and helps to maintain the environment, in addition to being an inexhaustible source which is the sun and we can always have it.

Energy and economic savings.

Reduction in the cost of electricity and gas bills.

Compatible with solar panel installations. In fact, it is currently considered as a complementary technology.

APPLICATIONS :Active solar energy is mainly used to obtain sanitary hot water, heating systems and to transform solar radiation into electrical energy.

Active solar technology is also used to produce air currents for ventilation or cooling and to store heat for later use. In any of these processes, the use of pumps and fans is required.

Other uses of active solar energy are:

Water purification.

Drying.

Evaporation.

Distillation.

Solar batteries.

Solar chargers.

Energy for street lighting, traffic signals and roads.
