Answer:I think that taking a course like public speaking can indefinitely help in the kind of commutation needed in a singing career. This is because in a public speaking course you can be exposed to many essentials needed. When you speak in front of the public it can be mirrored to singing to many people. Being in public speaking can help to not worry when you have a situation like singing in front of others. In your singing career you can learn key exercises from being in public speaking that may help you before you sing in front of others for example a breathing exercise or something of that degree. The public speaking course can ultimately  prepare you for situations in your singing career like large crowds and having all eyes on you.
