English

In an argumentative and persuasive texts, both definitely use rhetorical techniques to support a particular viewpoint. although all choices are good; in my opinion, this one's the best description because a person can not hope to make their point across to their audience without using multiple rhetorical devices and they absolutely can't persuade their audience to see their point without using any rhetorical device.

Rhetorical device/technique: is a use of language that is intended to have an effect on its audience.

so if you hope to have an effect towards your audience through argumentative and persuasive texts, rhetorical devices/techniques are highly recommended. Comments Report

This is D., a hyphen. I You would write it as 'old-fashioned'. There would only not be a hyphen if it was 'old fashion' without the 'ed' at the end.

How does this view contrast with lee child's central idea in "a simple way to create suspense"? child feels that characters are
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]

This view contrasts with Lee Child's central idea in "a simple way to create suspense" in that: "Slaughter builds suspense through her characters. Child builds suspense by delaying answers." (Option C).

What is a central idea?

Central ideas really are the key thought or dominant message that the author is communicating via their text.

Hence, it is correct to indicate that there is a contrast of the above view because "Slaughter builds suspense through her characters. Child builds suspense by delaying answers."
