Answer: Honorary events are sorted from oldest to youngest.

Explanation:

  • The Romans removed the last Roman king from power and set up a republic. Between 534 and 509 BC, the last Roman king ruled, after which a republic was established. The last king is thought to have been Tarquinius Superbus. History treats him as a tyrant who fiercely dealt with his subjects. In these circumstances, the people stood up against him and removed him from power.
  • Thus ended the kingdom period, and a republic was formed. Julius Caesar became the dictator of Rome. It is probably the most celebrated figure in Roman history. After defeating Pompey 46 BC, he was proclaimed dictator. Due to political concerns, he was killed in the assassination. His dictatorship is the first symptom of the disappearance of the republic and the establishment of an empire. So chronologically, this event is the second oldest on the list.
  • The "Pax Romana" period in Roman history represents the period of the disappearance of the republic, or the proclamation of Rome as an empire. Historians most often take the year 27 BC to begin the period of the empire. This reshuffle in the country is most commonly associated with Octavian. During the realm, Rome would reach its most enormous territorial scope. Rome will be an empire until the fall of 476 AD.
  • The edict of Milan issued to allow Romans to adopt Christianity. The youngest event on this list is the Milan Edict. A game that happened in 313 in the Italian city of Milan. Namely, until that moment, Christians were persecuted throughout the empire. Emperor Constantine allowed the freedom of religion to be edified so that Christianity became a free religion. By the end of the century, Christianity would also become the official religion in Rome.

After seeing how Job's friends treated him during his time of suffering, how will you treat a friend who is going through a diff
vampirchik [111]

When considering Job's friend's approach, first, one must take into account Job's current situation. He had lost all of his sons, his wealth, his health, and probably the respect of others around him and his friends did little or nothing to ease his pain. For example, when trying to comfort him, Bildad, said that if Job's son died, its because they were sinners or evil men and they deserved to die. Eliphaz hinted that Job was not a righteous man, and he was being punished by God, who doesn't value the good actions of his servants.

When reading their full speech, one can see how they not only failed to ease Job's suffering, but also contributed to increase it. Blaming him from his suffering, blaming god, or insinuating that god was cruel. A god that Job deeply believed in. If one could say that they did at least something right is that they stopped Job from feeling sorry of himself. And when the last of his friends Elihu stepped in he helped him to see the bigger picture. And how he could still be a good man, and be suffering, because he was not perfect, and he could make mistakes.

A better approach could have been starting with kind words, feeling truly sorry for his loss, helping him to see that his sons had no blame in what happened, and that god could still be there to support him. And when the time was right, help him to stop feeling sorry of himself, in a kind but strong way, as Elihu did.

How did discrimination against Africa Americans in the North differ from discrimination in the south?
LiRa [457]

Answer:

Northern states were more against slavery while the south was more pro-slavery because they felt that they needed slaves to, manage farms and plantations growing indigo, rice and tobacco. The south was very dependent on plantations and slaves while the north was dependent on factories. Later in history the 13th amendment was passed, this was supposed to officially end slavery, to get around this people in the south created "Black Codes" or "Jim Crow Laws" which were made to limit African American freedom. Discrimination still occurred in northern states but was less harsh than it was in the south. This is partially due to the black minority in northern states. I really hope this helps...
