This causes a shift in the food chain and now thee are less clams so therefore less food for all other animals. In addition all ocean wildlife will decrease. This can also have a profound affect on coral reefs, causing bleaching. Coral reefs hold up to only 0.1% of the ocean area yet support up to 25% of ocean wildlife.
