• The net gain of ATP from the breakdown of ten molecules of glucose under aerobic conditions is three hundred sixty.

• The Krebs cycle does not occur if oxygen is not present.

• In the Krebs cycle, the carbon atom is in a three-carbon molecule and is released in three molecules of .

• Glycolysis, by breaking one molecule of glucose, two molecules of pyruvate are formed.

Further Explanation:

The glucose is broken down by a process called cellular respiration. The cellular respiration mainly takes place in the mitochondria of animals and plants. The cellular respiration is a reaction or a process by which the cells of the body breakdown the food to produce energy. This energy is essential for all the metabolic functions as well as the physical role of the body. Cellular respiration is mainly divided into three stages

• Krebs cycle

• Glycolysis

• Electron transport chain

C_6H_{12}O_6+6O_2\rightarrow6CO_2+6H_2O+ \text {Chemical Energy}+\text {ATP}

Glycolysis refers to the dissociation of sugar, generally the glucose into more convenient components to create energy. The net end components of glycolysis are two NADH, two pyruvate, and two molecules of ATP. In the citric acid cycle, two molecules of ATP are formed. In oxidative phosphorylation, two and eight NADH molecules produce ATP. TCA is a division of aerobic respiration; only if oxygen is not present TCA doesn’t occur. Under aerobic respiration, 36 molecules of ATP are formed from one molecule of glucose. Thus, ten molecules of glucose form three hundred sixty molecules of ATP.

lilavasa [31]

Answer:

Both statements are true

Explanation:

Many small tree saplings are competing for sunlight on the forest floor because tree saplings in forest floors are often deprived of adequate light as a result of the shade created by bigger trees in the forest. Hence, the saplings jostle for light in order to effectively carry out light-requiring physiological activities such as photosynthesis and chlorophyll synthesis.

The West Nile virus a virus that generally affects the central nervous systems of birds - the primary host. It is transmitted from one bird to another through contact and by a vector - the mosquito. The virus is also capable of being contracted by humans where it causes fatal neurological disorders.

Which factors of Earth's position would contribute to long-term climate change?
vazorg [7]

Answer:

A) its elliptical orbit and tilt on its axis

Explanation:

Earth revolves around the sun in an elliptical path. Its axis is tilted to about 23.5° from the vertical.

These two factors determine the global climate on the Earth.

Due to elliptical orbit, the earth is sometimes closer to sun than the rest of the time. When it is closer the global temperature rises by 5 degrees. Due to the tilt of the Earth, seasons occur. The hemisphere which points towards the sun has summers where as which points away has winters.

Thus, the long-term climate change is effected by elliptical orbit and tilt of the axis.
