Take the number with the variable on one side and the numbers alone on the otherside of the equal sign but don't forget to change the negative and positive sign

Basically, to solve all of those problems you put all the variables on one side and the integers on the other side then solving for the variable.

I'll solve a few to demonstrate this idea.

3. 8r + 4 = 10 + 2r
In this case r is our variable.
We want to move all the r's to the same side.
Subtract 2r from both sides
8r + 4 -2r = 10 + 2r - 2r
6r + 4 = 10
Subtract 4 from both sides
6r + 4 - 4 = 10 - 4
6r = 6
Solve for r by dividing both sides by 6.
6r/6 = 6/6
r = 1

2. 28 - 0.3y = 0.7y - 12
y is the variable in this equation
It will be easier to move all the y's to the right side in this scenario.
Add 0.3y to both sides to do this.
28 - 0.3y + 0.3y = 0.7y -12 + 0.3y
28 = 0.7y + 0.3 y -12
28 = 1y -12
28 = y - 12
Move 12 to the left side by adding 12 to both sides.
28 + 12 = y - 12 + 12
40 = y
y = 40

You can use the same steps to solve the rest.
If you have any questions on any particular one that you don't know how to do, feel free to comment below and I will walk you through it. Otherwise, I know you will be able to solve the rest!

|6m|=42 please help me with absolute value
ANTONII [103]
Since there is nothing on the left side of the equation besides the absolute value, you have to take 6m out of the absolute value and create 2 separate equations. These 2 equation will be 6m = 42 and 6m = -42.

You solve the equations normally:
6m = 42     6m = -42     (inverse to get m by itself, do on both sides)
/6      /6      /6       /6

  m = 7        m = -7

The answer is a solution set:
[7, -7]

Answer asap please
sergeinik [125]

Answer:

t = 0

If the loan is to be paid in 0 months, the amount is very large

m = 50

Of the loan is to be paid in an indefinite amount of time, monthly payment would be 50

Step-by-step explanation:

(12000 + 600t)/12t

1000/t + 50

Asymptotes:

t = 0

If the loan is to be paid in 0 months, the amount is very large

m = 50

Of the loan is to be paid in an indefinite amount of time, monthly payment would be 50

You use 4 gallons of water on 30 plants in your garden. At that rate, how much water will it take to water 45 plants?
OverLord2011 [107]
Question that needs to be solved:You use 4 gallons of water on 30 plants in your garden. At that rate, how much water will it take to water 45 plants?=> 4 gallons is to 30 plants.=> 4 gallons / 30 plants = 0.13 gallons per plants.Now, it needs to water around 45 plants, let us solve how much will it need => 0.13 gallons * 45 plants = 6 gallons<span>Thus, to water 45 plants you need to have 6 gallons of water</span>

What are the coordinates of the point on the directed line segment from (-6, -3) to
melamori03 [73]

Given:

A point divides a directed line segment from (-6, -3) to (5,8) into a ratio of 6 to 5.

To find:

The coordinates of that point.

Solution:

Section formula: If point divides a line segment in m:n, then the coordinates of that point are

Point=\left(\dfrac{mx_2+nx_1}{m+n},\dfrac{my_2+ny_1}{m+n}\right)

A point divides a directed line segment from (-6, -3) to (5,8) into a ratio of 6 to 5. Using section formula, we get

Point=\left(\dfrac{6(5)+5(-6)}{6+5},\dfrac{6(8)+5(-3)}{6+5}\right)

Point=\left(\dfrac{30-30}{11},\dfrac{48-15}{11}\right)

Point=\left(\dfrac{0}{11},\dfrac{33}{11}\right)

Point=\left(0,3\right)

Therefore, the coordinates of the required point are (0,3).
