Lockstitch machines have long history of development, but the three inventors have been most important for development are Charles Fredrick Wiesenthal, Thomas Saint and William Newton Wilson. Charles Fredrick Wiesenthal invented the first patent for lockstitch machine, the design of the first working lockstitch machine was made by Thomas Saint which William Newton Wilson later improved improved.</span>
