I believe that Macbeth's character change is too extreme. From being a loyal subject and essentially a good man, he becomes a terrible tyrant, and in the end he is behaving like a madman. It was not logically necessary for Macbeth to turn into such a hateful tyrant just because he committed a murder to become king.

Which of the following best summarizes a central theme of the text IF by rudyard kipling
Helen [10]

Answer:

The correct answer is: Growing up is complicated and challenging, but is ultimately worth it for what can be accomplished.

Explanation:

In his poem "If", Rudyard Kipling is advising the younger generations about some situations and possibilities through their life, by encouraging them spiritually and morally to go through their growing up period patiently and proudly, because at the end they will grow up and be decent and honest people: "Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, / And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!"

The author appreciates honesty and patience, where he acts as a father figure, and advises his younger audience to pursue their dreams, but without losing their grasp on reality.

Which of the following is NOT true about using counterclaims?
pashok25 [27]

Answer:

A. You need to make your counterclaims look as weak and nonsensical as possible.

Explanation:

Each side of an argument consists of four parts: a claim (stating facts that give rise to the claim), an answer (rebutting the claim), and a counterclaim. A counterclaim is a claim for relief that is made in response to, or in counterbalance to, the remedy sought by another party. "Reasons" refer to the justifications for a claim made by a certain party.
