The correct answer is B.

The First Arab–Israeli War was fought in 1948 between the newly-created state of Israel formed by Jewish population who arrived to the region after the Holocaust following the recommendations of the United Nations, and a coalition of Arab nations who were the inhabitants of the region. They all fought for the control of the territory of Palestine, a former British colony.

After the war, the State of Israel controlled almost the whole territory that the UN had recommended in the Assembly Resolution 181, while 700,000 Palestinian Arabs were expelled from their homes that were located in that area, and they became Palestinian refugees. Many Palestinians still living in camps nowadays and the conflict stills unresolved with ongoing military hostilities.
