Answer: x = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

216 + x = x(x {}^{2}  - 5) + 6x

216 + x = x {}^{3}  - 5x + 6x

Add like terms

216 + x = x  {}^{3}  + x

Subtract x form both sides and they both cancel out

216 = x {}^{3}

Subtract 216 from both sides

216 - x {}^{3}  = 0

Plug in your calculator, in your "y=" and look at your zeros and *check if they equal each other by substituting x with the zeros and that ones that work is your answer.

Answer:

I believe your answer is 92.

Step-by-step explanation: Usually, a picture frame is in the shape of a square or rectangle. So to find area you use length times width, correct? Since the opposite side of each side on a rectangle or square is the same value, then that means your answer is probably double that of the area. Giving you 92 :) I hope this helped a bit!

Rounded to the nearest tenth what is the perimeter of the triangle
hjlf

Answer:

D. 11.8 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a 30-60-90 triangle, which means that the hypotenuse is 2x, the short leg is x, and the long leg is x\sqrt{3}.

In this case, the hypotenuse is 5.

5 / 2 = 2.5. That is the short leg.

The long leg is 2.5 * \sqrt{3} = 4.330127019.

5 + 2.5 + 4.330127019 = 7.5 + 4.330127019 = 11.83012702, which is about D. 11.8 cm.

Hope this helps!

ABCD is a trapezoid with AD = 5 ft, DC = 7 ft, and AB = 15 ft. Find the area of the trapezoid. 30 ft2 33 ft2 44 ft2 55 ft2
Nataly_w [17]

Answer: 33 ft².

Step-by-step explanation:

1. As you can see in the figure attached, the trapezoid is formed by a rectangle and two equal right triangles. The base of each triangle is 4 feet and you know the lenght of the hypotenuse AD, therefore, you can calculate the height by applying the Pythagorean Theorem:

h=\sqrt{(5ft)^{2}-(4ft)^{2}}=3ft

2. Now, you can calculate the area with the following formula:

A=(\frac{B+b}{2})h

Where <em>B</em> is the longer base,<em> b</em> is the shorter base and <em>h</em> is the height.

Then:

A=(\frac{15ft+7ft}{2})(3ft)=33ft^{2}
