The French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars represented continuity in European diplomacy from the eighteenth to the nineteenth century, but witnessed considerable change in the way that war was waged. The influence of Revolutionary and Napoleonic France depended on the nature of its relationship with the other European states. Satellite states were transformed considerably, whereas allied and client states experienced only a degree of ideological and practical transformation. French territorial objectives from 1792 to 1807 followed a relatively traditional pattern, seeking either direct or indirect influence in central Europe and the Italian states. The eventual response to Napoleonic hegemony was the understanding that cooperative efforts outweighed individual interests in order to bring the wars to a conclusion. The result was victory over Napoleon and the creation of a new diplomatic system that incorporated individual interest into a balance-of-power system.

How can you use this document to argue that Magellan was not worth defending?
aliina [53]

Explanation:

Due to the horrible conditions on the Magellan, the passangers on the ship died a horrific death. The ones that did not resort to eating wood starved; the poor passengers caught dieseses that were carried and transferred by rats and feces. The awful conditions on the Magellan makes you ponder if the ship was worth the sacrifice many innocent people on board the Magellan made.

The original development of Pueblo pottery and its near demise in the 1900s both resulted from
Aleks04 [339]

Pueblo pottery as well as other art forms found in Native American indigenous groups of the southwestern United Sates originated when these groups changed from a nomadic lifestyle to a sedentary more permanent one, giving rise to agriculture, communities, settlements and expressions of culture. The Pueblo pottery is traditionally produced by women and has intricate and beautiful designs distinctive to the Pueblo people. The migration of Meso American groups from different parts and at different stages turned the now Southwestern United States in to a melting pot of cultures, traditions and people. This gave rise to the unique and rich pottery designs and its increase in production no longer limited to everyday use but also incorporated into religious and ceremonial use, as well as for trade and commerce. At the end of the 19th Century and the beginning of the 20th Century, we can see the negative effect of the once positive and enriching migration phenomenon. The displacement of native American people away from their original homelands caused a disruption in the production and conservation of their traditional art and became the reason for their near demise. Native Americans were forced to move to far away places and into enclosed or delimited areas called reservations, being separated from their original tribes and were not able to continue with their traditions and ways of life. This migration also caused disease and the death of a great part of the population and therefore a negative effect in their culture and legacy. No longer able to trade or communicate with other Native American groups, their traditions came very close to disappearing.
