How was the Cannon Air Force Base significant to WWII?

It was very important for world war two because that's the base that had United States bombardiers and fighters prepared before they sent them out to Europe. This base was thus of great importance for liberating Europe because Europe relied on United States help when it came to fighting because of their massive air-force.

The US does not officially join World War I until April of 1917.
