y=2x-9

X Y
-2 -15 y=2 (-2)-9
y=-4+-9
y=-15

y=-2+-9
y=-11

Let f(x)=y
y=x^{2} -9
Make x the subject of the formula;
y+9=x^{2}
x=\sqrt{y+9}
So, the inverse of the function is thus;
f^{'} = \sqrt{x+9}

This pyramid has dimensions that are one third of the larger pyramid.Therefore, it has a base length of 3.Base Area = 9.
Its base perimeter would be 12.
Small Pyramid Volume = (Area of the Base * Height) ÷ 3Small Pyramid Volume = ( 9 * 8 ) / 3Small Pyramid Volume = 72 / 3
c) Small Pyramid Volume =24 cubic meters

d) Ratio of larger pyramid volume to smaller pyramid volume648 / 24 = 27The reason? Volume is a 3 dimensional quantity.  The Larger pyramid is 3 times larger in terms of the base measurement.9 meters vs 3 meters - a factor of 3When we compare volumes, we have to cube this factor.3^3 = 27

John has taken out a loan for college. He started paying off the loan with a first payment of $100. Each month he pays, he wants
sergeinik [125]
<span>Let a_0 = 100, the first payment. Every subsequent payment is the prior payment, times 1.1. In order to represent that, let a_n be the term in question. The term before it is a_n-1. So a_n = 1.1 * a_n-1. This means that a_19 = 1.1*a_18, a_18 = 1.1*a_17, etc. To find the sum of your first 20 payments, this sum is equal to a_0+a_1+a_2+...+a_19. a_1 = 1.1*a_0, so a_2 = 1.1*(1.1*a_0) = (1.1)^2 * a_0, a_3 = 1.1*a_2 = (1.1)^3*a_3, and so on. So the sum can be reduced to S = a_0 * (1+ 1.1 + 1.1^2 + 1.1^3 + ... + 1.1^19) which is approximately $5727.50</span>

A colony of bacteria is grown under ideal conditions in a laboratory so that the population increases exponentially with time. A
Naddik [55]

Answer:

Initial bacterias = 6006000

Altought I believe is safe to assume that the values were 192,000 and 384,000 instead of 192,192,000 and 384,384,000, in that case the initial bacterias is 6000

Step-by-step explanation:

A exponential growth follows this formula:

Bacterias  = C*rⁿ

C the initial amount

r the growth rate

n the number of time intervals

Bacterias (55 hours) = 192,192,000

Bacterias (66 hours) = 384,384,000

Bacterias(55hours)=C*r^{{\frac{55-t}{t}}} \\Bacterias (66hours) = C*r^{\frac{66-t}{t}}}

If you divide both you can get the growth rate:

\frac{Bacterias (66hours)}{Bacterias(55hours)}=\frac{C*r^{\frac{66-t}{t}}}{C*r^{{\frac{55-t}{t}}}} \\\frac{384,384,000}{192,192,000} =r^{\frac{66-t}{t} -\frac{55-t}{t} } \\2 =r^{\frac{11}{t}}

So with that r = 2 and each time interval correspond to 11 years

Then replacing in one you can get the initial amount of C

Bacterias (55hours)=C*2^{\frac{55-11}{11} } 192,192,000 = C*32\\C= 6006000
