Answer:

0.00009

Step-by-step explanation:

This question is an example of scientific notation.

To solve this you must

  1. Get it to standard form. If the exponent is negative, you move the decimal to the left. If the exponent is positive, you move the decimal to the right. Do it to the top and bottom.
  2. Now that you have it is standard form, simplify.

If f(x)=3x-15, then f^-1(x) =<br> solve for x please
amid [387]
1.  Replace f(x) with y:  y = 3x - 15
2.  Interchange x and y:  x = 3y - 15
3.  Solve this for y:  3y = x + 15, and y = (x + 15)/3
4.  Replace y with

   -1                -1
 f   (x):           f   (x) = (x + 15) / 3            (answer)

Write an equation in a point-slope form that passes through the given point with the given slope (3, 5), m = -4 and-1, 8), m = ½
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

\large\boxed{y-5=-4(x-3)}\\\boxed{y-8=\dfrac{1}{2}(x+1)}

Step-by-step explanation:

The point-slope form of an equation of a line:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

m - slope

m=-4,\ (3,\ 5)\\\\y-5=-4(x-3)

m=\dfrac{1}{2},\ (-1,\ 8)\\\\y-8=\dfrac{1}{2}(x-(-1))\\\\y-8=\dfrac{1}{2}(x+1)

Give one real life example of each correlation: positive, negative, and no correlation.
mixer [17]
In a positive correlation, both variables increase together. An example of this is a company's profit's relationship with its sales. The greater the sales, the greater the profit.
A negative correlation is where one variable decreases with increase in the other. An example is the time taken to reach somewhere and the speed traveled at. The faster you move, the less the time.
No correlation means the two variables are not related. An example of this is as you get older, it does not mean you will get better grades.

Can somebody help me with this question plz !

Answer:

y=4x-3

Step-by-step explanation:

Parallel lines will always have the same slope (the number that comes before x in an equation). So, we can plug in 4 to the equation.

y=4x+?

Let's say the ? is b. If we plug in the point (1,1) into y=4x+b, we get

1=4(1)+b

reduce

1=4+b

subtract 4 from both sides

-3=b

and now we can add b=-3 into the original answer, and we get y=4x-3!
