The three layers from which the human body is made up of is endoderm, mesoderm, and ectoderm. They are formed during embryonic development of the fetus in the uterus.

Endoderm is the innermost layer which gives rise to the stomach, pancreas, liver, intestine, lungs, thymus, prostate, thyroid and also the internal lining of the digestive system and respiratory system.

Mesoderm is the middle germ layer and gives rise to bone, bone marrow, heart, muscles, connective tissue, dermis, cartilage, blood.

Ectoderm is the outermost layer and it develops into epidermis, hair, nervous system, mammary glands, the lining of mouth, anus, and nostrils.
