Why did women have little influence on national politics in the 1920s

Answer:

Because there was a lot of opposition to women's participation in political affairs.

Explanation:

Although in 1920 women gained the right to vote through the 19th Amendment, there was much opposition to women's participation in political affairs. Even though they won the right to vote, some women refused to vote in 1920, because some believed it was wrong and others feared retaliation from more traditional societies, including women who were forbidden by their husbands to vote.

Even if women's voting was approved by law, many people kept the idea that women could only get involved in domestic affairs and for that reason women were discouraged from participating in political affairs. The result was that women had little influence on national politics in the 1920s.

Many of them were too busy tending to work at home cooking cleaning etc. Even if they were not they were not allowed to vote legally. This changed eventually though. Women started movements and eventually gained the right to vote.

An important philosophical idea during the Enlightenment was that
myrzilka [38]

Answer:

An important philosophical idea during the Enlightenment was that  ordinary people should be able to pursue greater opportunities.

Explanation:

The Enlightenment was a period of great change in Europe and the United States in scientific practices and thinking that began in the late 17th century in the wake of the scientific revolution in the late Middle Ages. The Enlightenment lasted for about a century, and was characterized by the new ideas and discoveries that emerged during this period, which unveiled many things that had previously been incomprehensible to man. The Enlightenment was therefore a period of great human knowledge. This knowledge came about because man increasingly used scientific methods based on reason and realism rather than belief in supernatural forces or other babblings. The Christian Church was increasingly criticized after the new sciences and practices gave rise to a secular worldview.
