Solution :

Given equations, x-y=3\\2x+2y=2

Applying Substitution method to solve the equation.

Solve the first equation x-y=3 for x,

x-y=3\:\Rightarrow x=3+y

Substitute the value of x in second equation,

2x+2y=2\\\\\Rightarrow 2(3+y)+2y=2\\\\\Rightarrow 6+2y+2y=2\\\\\Rightarrow6+4y=2\\\\\Rightarrow4y=2-6\\\\\Rightarrow4y=-4\\\\\Rightarrow y=\frac{-4}{4} =-1\\\\\Rigtharrow y=-1

To calculate the value of  x  substitute the value of y in first equation

x-y=3\\\\\Rightarrow x-(-1)=3\\\\\Rightarrow x=3-1=2\\\\\Rightarrow x=2

Hence, the solution of the equations x-y=3\\2x+2y=2 is (2,-1).

A fraction changes from 3/4 to 4/10. The numerator changed by _____%; the denominator changed by _____%; the value of the fr
Korvikt [17]
The change from 3/4 to 4/10 is found by obtaining and applying the LCD:

15/20 to 8/20 is a negative change, and the amount of the change was -7/20.

We compare this result to the original value, 15/20, to obtain the percentage change in the fraction:

   -7/20
----------- = -7/15 = -0.467  =>  -46.7%

Write the equation of the line that passes through the
Butoxors [25]

Answer: y = 2x also written as y = 2x + 0

Step-by-step explanation:

When dealing with parallel lines their slopes are ALWAYS the same so the equation would have the slope of 2, but to find the y intercept you have to plug the coordinate given into the point-slope formula (y - y1) = m(x - x1) where m is the slope, y1 is the y output of the coordinate and x1 is the x input of the coordinate.

1. Plug cordinate into point slope form equation:

(y - 0) = 2(x - 0)

2. Distribute the 2 to x and 0

y - 0 = 2x - 0

The two zeros cancel out because they are 0s to begin with so your final answer for your y - intercept is 0

hope this helps :)
