A Sandinista is a member of the Sandinista National
Liberation Front, which is now a democratic socialist political party in
Nicaragua. The party was named after Augusto Cesar Sandino, a resistance leader
in Nicaragua in the 1930’s. They established a revolutionary government in
1979.
