Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov was a Russian composer. He is remembered as a member of the group of composers known as "The Five." His music employed many references to fairy tales and folk stories. He is also remembered for his nationalist tendencies and for being professor of musical composition, harmony and orchestration at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory.
