The cytoskeleton in plants is responsible for cell shape, cell motility (movement) , and also motility of organelles within the cell.
The cytoskeleton connects to every organelle and every part of the cell membrane. The cytoskeleton in is a bit different from the human skeleton in that it is very dynamic meaning it can change shape, shorten or lengthen.
This dynamic nature is necessary for cells to change shape, complete cell division and migrate from place to another.
The first phase of Meiosis 1 is prophase 1. during the prophase 1 is where DNA is exchanged between homologous Chromosomes in a process called crossing over or recombination.
