A) 10x-50=100
1. Add 50 to both sides, 10x-50+50=100
10x=150
2. Divide both sides by 10, 10x/10=150/10
3. This means that x=15

b) 3/4x+10=20
1. Multiple both sides by 4
2. Move the constant to the right, 3x+40=80
3. Subtract the numbers, 3x= 80-40
4. 3x=40 Divide both sides by 3
5. This mean that x= 40/3

c) 1/2(x-7)=20
1. Multiple both sides by 2
2. Move the constant to the right, x-7=40
3. Add the numbers, x=40+7
4. This means that x=47

I hope this helps!!

Determine whether the following statement is true or false. Explain. When obtaining a stratified sample, the number of individu
bearhunter [10]

Answer:

B. False. Within stratified samples, the number of individuals sampled from each stratum should be proportional to the size of the strata in the population.

Step-by-step explanation:

In a stratified sample, each stratum should be proportional to that category of the population.  This means that each stratum would potentially have a different number of elements in it.

If 14 gallon of paint covers 13 of a wall in Luna's bedroom, how much paint does she need to cover 1 wall?
Travka [436]

Answer:

182

Step-by-step explanation:

1/13=14 gal

14 times 13 = 182 gal.

Unless you wrote it diff, then it would be 14/13 = 1.08 gal (I don't think this one is correct though)
