Hmm, this is kinda tough so I will use a basic problem. Let's take apples as our example. Assuming by percent you mean the percent number and not if you convert the percent to a number which will usually be a decimal less than 1 btw, then the percent number can be greater than the number easily. If I was eating 10 apples but I was really hungry and I wanted to eat 5 more. I would have eaten how much % more? I would have eaten 50 % more. This is because 50% 10 is 5. The number 50 is certainly bigger than 10 or 5. I hope I answered what you meant :-)

Which ordered pairs lie on the graph of the exponential function f(x)=-3^2x+5
Shtirlitz [24]
You don't really know where the x is. The way you have written it, technically its like this. (-3^2)*x and none of the answers agree with that.

It must be -3^(2x) + 5 In that case 0,4 works. That gives (-3)^0 = -1
-1 + 5 = 4
Unfortunately so does 1,-4 because -3^2 = - 9
- 9 + 5 = - 4

If (-2,76) is the answer, then the question should be written (-3)^(2x) - 5

Until the ambiguity is gone, we're not sure.

Magda saw a triangular sign with a base of 4 feet and a height of 2.8 feet. She reasoned that if she first divided each dimensio
motikmotik

Answer: She is not correct, because she must multiply the base and the height of the triangle and then divide by 2.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. The formula for calculate the area of a triangle is shown below:

A=\frac{b*h}{2}

Where b is the base and h is the height.

2. Then, if she applied the method she reasoned, she'd obtain the following area:

b=\frac{4ft}{2}=2ft\\h=\frac{2.8ft}{2}=1.4ft\\A=2ft*1.4ft\\A=2.8ft^{2}

 3. But actually, Magda should multiply the base and the height of the triangle and then divide by 2. Then, the correct area is:

 A=\frac{4ft*2.8ft}{2}=5.6ft^{2}
