The correct answer is D) African Americans received equal pays as whites.

The stement that NOT describes America following the abolition of slavery is “African Americans received equal pays as whites.”

The 13th Amendment of 1865 ended with slavery in the Southern states. At least, Black people were free. But as ironical as it could sound, the problems did not stop there or resolve automatically. African Americans were used to work as slaves or they worked the land for a wage. Once they were free, the lack of better opportunities did not desappeared. They continue to struggle to get their rights and in the jobs they got, they were not paid equally as the white people. Many African Americans still lived in poverty in rural areas of the Southenr states.

What can you tell me about African societies and migration ?
juin [17]

Answer:

African societies:African societies are complex and diverse, requiring an interdisciplinary approach to evaluate and understand the continent's economic, political, social, and cultural institutions and change. ... African societies have a philosophical worldview that is borne of the circumstance in which African peoples operate.

African Migration:Since the 1960s, the main source countries of migration from Africa to Europe have been Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, resulting in large diasporas with origins in these countries by the end of the 20th century. In the period following the 1973 oil crisis, immigration controls in European states were tightened. The effect of this was not to reduce migration from North Africa but rather to encourage permanent settlement of previously temporary migrants and associated family migration. Much of this migration was from the Maghreb to France, The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. From the second half of the 1980s, the destination countries for migrants from the Maghreb broadened to include Spain and Italy, as a result of increased demand for low-skilled labour in those countries.
