Answer:

Maximum: C= 6(5) + 2y or C= 30 + 2y

Step-by-step explanation:

X can be greater than or equal to 0, but can also be less than or equal to 5.

Y is greater than or equal to 0.

4 times x then subtracted by y is greater than or equal to 1.

Since X can't go higher than 5, the maximum is 5.

Y can be anything since it can be greater than or egual to 0 and either way it would be greater than one.

I hope I could help!

sineoko [7]

Hi Katy

-2x -1 > -3x + 8

When you're solving this kind of problem you need to set your mind down, so that's mean you need to be smart to ask yourself some questions about what they give you.

As you can see up there, there are -2x and -3x so you have to think that you can't solve it with 2 unknown values. What do you must do ? well as usual you need to take it easy and eliminate -3x. Make sure you always eliminate the unknown value in the right instead of left side. So you can be comfortable with it.

Ok are you ready to start ?

-2x -1 > -3x + 8

Like I told earlier, we need to eliminate -3x by " adding 3x to both sides

-2x+3x -1 > -3x+3x +8

x - 1 > 8 ( you see, now we only have one x left)

Hint: When you are going to change a number side, you also need to modify the sign that was in front of it.

x > 8 + 1 ( you see I changed the sign)

x > 9

That is the answer for your question : x > 9

I hope that's help.. Please rate
