A intransitive verb it doesnt need a direct object to complete its meaning.
Examples:
Let go.
The Kids are Jumping.
Sam is sleeping.
those are all examples of transitive verbs.
A Transitive verb is the opposite in other words it needs a direct object to complete its meaning.
Examples:
Jetro often takes  a nap.
←(here takes is the transitive verb that needs another object to complete its meaning otherwise you won't know what Jetro takes.) nap←(here nap completes the transitive verb because then you know what Jetro takes which is a nap. Otherwise you would know.)

Hope it helps. Correct if I am wrong.

fredd [130]

Still today, many people believe that we, humankind, are the creation of a supernatural entity called God, that God had an intelligent purpose in creating us, and that this intelligent purpose is "the meaning of life".
