Describe why biodiversity increased with the introduction of sea otters in California over the last fifty years
Leya [2.2K]

Sea otters affected biodiversity because they control the populations of sea urchins, which endanger kelp forests. Kelp forests are important because they convert sunlight to living material, and they also provide food and habitat to sea creatures. Kelp is important in sustaining the diversity of ecosystems. Additionally, sea otters may also be accountable for the large size of abalones in California.

Snowcat [4.5K]

Answer:

Type 2 diabetes  - target cell do not respond normally to insulin

Type 1 diabetes - no insulin is produced

Both type 2 and type 1 diabetes - Glucose level remains higher than normal

Explanation:

complete question

statements are

1. target cell do not respond normally to insulin

2. no insulin is produced

3. Glucose level remains higher than normal

Solution

Type 1 and 2 diabetes is different in the following ways

1. Type 1 diabetes is a type of auto immune disease  in which the causative agent of disease attacks on the cells responsible for defending that disease. Hence, in case of diabetes 1, pancreas is restricted from producing insulin. While in case of diabetes 2, there is enough insulin but body gets resistant to it.

2. Type 1 diabetes usually occur in children and Type 2 diabetes occur after the age of 40 or in adulthood.

3. Sugar level is high in case of both the diabetets types. In type 1 sugar build because no insulin is produced and in type 2 sugar increases because of bodies getting resistant to insulin.

Hence, the correct match is

Type 2 diabetes  - target cell do not respond normally to insulin

Type 1 diabetes - no insulin is produced

Both type 2 and type 1 diabetes - Glucose level remains higher than normal
