Ms.Phillips ordered 56 pizzas for a school fundraiser. Of the pizzas ordered, 2/7 of them were pepperoni, 19 were cheese, and the rest were veggie pizzas. What fraction of the pizzas was veggie?

First what you want to do...is to divide 56 pizzas by 7. this is because the denominator of 2/7 is 7.
56 divided by 7 =8
now we know that 8 is equal to 1/7.
there would be 16 pepperoni pizzas.
now add the pepperoni and the cheese...
16 + 19 = 35
subtract 56 and 35...
56 - 35 = 21. 
there are 21 veggie pizzas.
and when you check your work...
12 + 19 + 21 = 56
there are 21 veggie pizzas
