Answer:

Faustus is not an evil man. The main reason is that he is just a man with all his faults and positive traits. He seeks knowledge and is an educated man and he actually tries to trick the devil so it would be weird to say that he is evil since he tries to defeat the devil at his own game. Sure, things don't always work out but he is not evil. Expand on that until you reach 100 words.

PART A: How does the author create irony in the text? Wealthy Teen Nearly Experiences Consequences
MrRa [10]

Answer:

C. The author relies on the reader's expectation that the wealthy teen would be the villain of the story and flips this expectation, making him the regretful protagonist, to create irony.

Explanation:

Irony is the expression of ideas in words that are the opposite of what is meant. To achieve this, The Onion Staff, refrained from using words that paint the wealthy teen to be what he truly was, the villain in the story who drove under the influence of alcohol thus endangering the lives of others.

He was rather painted as the protagonist who was unjustly arrested by the police and denied his luxuries for some time. The effect of this irony was humor that made mockery of Charles Wentworth's misbehaviors.

Australia’s Great Barrier Reef may be on the verge of a massive outbreak of coral bleaching caused by sea temperatures soaring for the third time in six years.

“The entire reef has been in a bleaching hotspot for the past month, and excessively hot water is still spreading and intensifying,” says Tom Goreau of the Global Coral Reef Alliance in Cambridge, MA who issued the first warnings of the last bleaching epidemic two years ago. The sea is currently up to 2°C warmer than normal.

Goreau predicts that this bleaching “will be the worst yet,” and will extend across the South Pacific to the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and New Caledonia.
