The correct answer is " to continue to fight for the preservation of the Union."

When Lincoln states "the cause for which they gave their last full measure of their devotion" he is referring to the Union. He wants to convince the audience to continue "the great task remaining before us" which is to fight for the Union.

The answer is: continue to fight for the preservation of the Union

In the Gettysburg Address Abraham Lincoln’s purpose was to encourage the people, to inspire them to continue fighting as the Civil War was not over yet, he want to honored the deaths of the fallen soldiers by increasing the devotion for the cause “for which they gave the last full measure of devotion”, the way to ensure that these soldiers did not died in vain is completing “the great task remaining before” them.

Meaning of scrapes in this context:
Liono4ka [1.6K]

Answer:

This open interest in the idea of immorality is what takes Cecily out of the realm of Victorian hypocrisy and makes her a suitable love interest for Algernon. Her notion that if Jack’s brother is not really wicked he has been “deceiving us all in a very inexcusable manner” turns the plot of the play on its head. She goes on to define hypocrisy as “pretending to be wicked and being really good all the time.” It isn’t, of course. It is the opposite of hypocrisy. In fact, it is the creed of the Wildean dandy-hero.
