Yint is where the line crosses the y axis or when x=0
or just remember
y=mx+b
m=yintercept
y=-3x-5
-5 is yint
yo is correct for first

in form
ax+by+c=0
slope=-a/b
-6x+4y+12=0
-(-6)/4=3/2
you is correct

sub to solve

Can someone help me with these questions. Even if you can only help me with one, it would be appreciated.

Try these solutions:

<u>Task 1.</u>

a) the required angle is arctan(CG/AC);

b) according to the condition CG=AE=11.4 (cm.);

c) BC=EH=9.6 (cm.), then

AC=\sqrt{AB^2+BC^2}=\sqrt{18.4^2+9.6^2}=\sqrt{430.72} (cm.);

d) the required angle is:

arctan\frac{CG}{AC}=arctan\frac{11.4}{\sqrt{430.72}}=arctan(0.549297)=28.5=29

Answer: 29°

<u>Task 2.</u>

a) the required angle is EFV (see the attached picture): arctan(EV/FE);

b) to calculate FE: FE=0.5AB=7.25 (cm.);

c) to calculate EV:

EV=\sqrt{DV^2-DE^2} =\sqrt{17.2^2-(14.5/\sqrt{2})^2}=13.80996 (cm.);

d) to calculate the required angle:

m(∠EFV)=arctan(13.80996/7.25)=arctan(1.9048)≈62.302°=62°.

Answer: 62°

Mr Welch bought 8 yard of fencing

Step-by-step explanation:

Mr Welch bought 24 ft of fencing

We need to find how many yards of fencing did he buy

We need to convert 24ft into yards

We are given 1 yd = 3ft

We can write

3 ft = 1 yd

then 1 ft will be:

1 ft = 1/3 yd

Now, 24 ft will be:

24 ft = 1/3*24

24 ft = 8 yard

So, Mr Welch bought 8 yard of fencing
