Maritza's EssayNew Information Personal choice is a basic value of US citizenship. School choice gives citizens the opportunity

to act on that principle by allowing public school students to attend private charter schools. In 2017, a Harvard University study reported that over three million students in the US attend charter schools. According to NPR, there are more than seven thousand charter schools that educate these students, and many more are opened each year. That same study says that charter schools make up “a third of U.S. News and World Report’s top 100 high schools.” Charter schools such as Success Yes! have high success rates in graduation, test scores, and college acceptance. Vouchers allow students to attend better schools by giving families freedom to choose for themselves and to exercise their equal-opportunity rights. Read the excerpt from Maritza’s essay, then read the new information she found. Write a paragraph explaining how she could adjust her response based on the new information.

Answer:

Maritza’s response supports school choice for personal freedoms and equal opportunity for all students to get the best education possible. The new information contradicts that position because it gives examples of charter schools that have failed and that are inferior to public schools. Maritza might consider the evidence strong enough to revise her position and rewrite the argument. She might also attempt to explain the evidence and defend her argument in a new paragraph by arguing that the benefits of school choice outweigh the disadvantages.

I'm not exactly sure about what you mean with the question but the Apollo 1 crew did have a fire accident during a preflight test in 1967.

What is the derivative of1/root x
Marina86 [1]
<h2><u><em>Answer:</em></u></h2>

-\frac{1}{2} x^{-\frac{3}{2}}<em />

<em />

<em />

<h2><u><em>Explanation:</em></u></h2>

<em>Task</em>: To find the derivative of 1/rootx

<em>Rewrite</em>: To find the derivative of the function 1 / \sqrt{x}

To find the derivative, follow these steps:

<em>(i) Rewrite the function as</em>

=> \frac{1}{\sqrt{x} }

<em>Remember that </em>\sqrt{x}<em> can be written as </em>x^{\frac{1}{2} }<em />

=> \frac{1}{x^{\frac{1}{2} } }

=> x^{-\frac{1}{2} }<em />

<em />

<em>(ii) Multiply the coefficient of </em>x^{-\frac{1}{2} }<em> by the power of </em>x^{-\frac{1}{2} }<em />

Coefficient of x^{-\frac{1}{2} }<em> </em>= 1

Power of x^{-\frac{1}{2} }<em> </em>= -\frac{1}{2}

=> (-\frac{1}{2} x 1)x^{-\frac{1}{2} }<em />

=>  (-\frac{1}{2} )x^{-\frac{1}{2} }<em />

=>  -\frac{1}{2} x^{-\frac{1}{2} }<em />

<em />

<em>(iii) Subtract 1 from the power of  </em>x^{-\frac{1}{2} }<em />

=>  -\frac{1}{2} x^{(-\frac{1}{2} - 1 )}<em />

=>  -\frac{1}{2} x^{-\frac{3}{2}}<em />

Therefore, the derivative of 1/root x is -\frac{1}{2} x^{-\frac{3}{2}}<em />
