Answer:

Explanation:

Three major environmental challenges in Oceania are:

1. Sea level rising;

The rising of the sea level is presenting a huge challenge and danger for multiple island countries in Oceania. This is because some of the islands have very small elevation, and are in danger of getting bellow the water level with the current trends of the sea level rising.

2. Erosion;

The climate in Oceania is warm and humid, and those are the perfect conditions for rapid erosion. Since most of the islands are relatively small, any loss of land because of erosion means less arable land, less stable land, less land mass in general.

3. Water pollution;

Even though it is not the Oceania's countries to blame for it, the water pollution in the Pacific is increasing and causes more and more damage to the biodiversity in the region. Since the people living in Oceania are heavily dependent on sea food, this is becoming bigger and bigger problem, that can lead to either sea food with toxic materials, or insufficient food from the sea.

_____ represents the commonly held societal beliefs that define what is socially gratifying within a specific society.
chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

These are the options for the question:

a. Consumer network

b. Consumer advocacy

c. Consumer culture

d. Consumer awareness

e. Consumer base

And this is the correct answer:

c. Consumer culture

Explanation:

Consumer culture explains the way consumers spends their income on goods and services according to price, need, and preferences.

In advanced nations, consumer culture is a defining aspect of society because these economics are mostly based on private consumption.

Because in advanced nations, incomes tend to be higher, people do not always buy something because it is cheap, or because they need it to stay alive (for example, food).

In fact, in these countries, people often buy products out of pure desire, in order to gratify themselves, and satisfy a need of higher order (the need for status, the need for social acceptance, or the need for self-actualization).

Explanation:

 • Eugene Talmadge is believed to have been a segregationist who was strongly against the idea of granting equal rights and status to the African American citizens.
 • He was against the decision of the national government to increase the spending on the 3 R's of the new deal program that meant recovery, relief, and reform.
