  She asked her father, King Bernard to take Lancelot to her chamber where she would nurses him.  

Explanation:

  Elaine was deeply in love with Sir Lancelot. He fought in her father´s tournament with a disguise provided by her and became champion facing forty King Arthur´s men. Nevertheless, in the final combat, he got wounded and Elaine nurses him. When he is finally well he leaves the castle. Ten days after that Elaine dies of heartbreak.
